Kate and Andrew's June wedding was held at the ultra-exclusive Oviinbyrd Golf Club near Lake Joseph, a spot so private that they rarely host weddings there. The place is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Set over a private lake, and tucked into rolling Canadian Shield rocks, the stone clubhouse is beautifully designed, a perfect location for the elegant wedding of the couple's dreams.
This was some of the most fun I've had at a wedding in a long time. Kate and Andrew's crew of family and friends were an amazing group with a really obvious love for the couple. The shared joy at these two people getting married was palpable - there were a lot of tears of joy this day (and I see a lot of tears of joy!)
My favourite moments were during Kate and Andrew's entrance into dinner, where they danced their first dances surrounded by their guests. Moms were hugging, friends were crying, and people had their arms around each other as they watched Kate and Andrew first dance together, then with their parents.
Deep blue skies, incredible flowers and details, a stand-out meal prepared by the renowned Ovvinbyrd kitchen, and a bumping late-night dance party made the day perfect from start to finish. Congratulations, Kate and Andrew!
